Twenty-eighteen was an exciting year at Peerless Events and Tents. At each of our Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio locations, we experienced not just unprecedented growth, but the beginning of even deeper ties to the Southeastern Texas community.
From packaging 775 meals for the hungry at NACEgiving to helping fund children’s charities through mixology at the Cocktail Conference, we witnessed humanity at its best in 2018.
Here’s our countdown of the best Peerless Events and Tents moments of 2018. Check out these highlights from an inspiring year:
May 9 | San Antonio Botanical Garden | San Antonio, Tx.
The Event
In celebration of San Antonio Botanical Garden’s new remodeling, over 500 guests came to dine, dance, and enjoy the breathtaking summer beauty of the garden’s sprawling lawns.

As a museum, classroom, entertainment venue, and nexus of joyful community convergence, the Botanical Garden is a landmark San Antonio destination, and the Gala was a celebration of a new chapter in its history.

What Our Staff Say
“For the event design, we mixed our linens and traditional tables with farm tables to showcase the beautiful grounds of the conservatory.”
May 5 | Cavanaugh Flight Museum | Dallas, Tx.
The Event
In 2018, Peerless Events and Tents produced a Cinco de Mayo-themed dinner for a meeting of the National Association for Catering and Events (NACE), a nonprofit professional organization for event industry professionals.
Guests dined at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in one of the hangars, where a world war aircraft was situated in the background.
Tables, chairs, menus, place cards, staging, flatware, napkins, plates and glassware for the event were all provided by Peerless Events and Tents. Centerpieces and table runners were provided by Magic Moments Parties and Events,

What Our Staff Say
The centerpieces at the NACE Cinco de Mayo dinner were made of multicolored roses, red and orange bell peppers, banana peppers, and miniature piñatas, which added a variety in height, additional texture, and a nod to Cinco de Mayo.
The event’s individual menus were brightly colored and noted each of the dinner’s four-course tapas and family-style courses (which were all paired with signature cocktails).
Simple vintage farm tables, white rectangular tables, cross-back wooden bar stools, and ghost chairs were set up in a 360-degree sunburst pattern.
After working on this event, we’re most proud of how everyone, from the caterer to the vendors to the museum coordinator, came together to create the experience.
Oct. 15 | Private Residence | Wimberly, Tx.
The Event
A private wedding in the lavish countryside of Wimberly, Texas.
What Our Staff Say
This mega wedding included a 82 x 132-foot wedding tent rented by the bride and groom. The weather was a perfect example of why it’s so important to have a tent for your backup plan on your wedding day.
Torrential rains leading up to the installation set us back with the setup. Roads and bridges were closed, and maneuvering trucks and lifts over the river was scary. Wood for the subfloor had to be carried by lift up a bridge and around the hill to the site.
We had to add flooring in areas that were filled with mud, and ended up moving the ceremony due to rain.
And then there were the crystal chandeliers that had to be assembled. Thousands of crystals were hung by hand, with chandelier adorning nearby trees.
At the end of the day, the sun came out. The bride and her mother were so pleased and completely unaware of the weather challenges we ran into.”
March 23 | Wyndham Hotel area | San Antonio, Tx.

What Our Staff Say
“While they never close the streets for private events, our partners at CE Group worked their magic. For the event design, we got creative in order to stay within the
CEO’s nonprofit budget while still delivering an artistic touch. Our expert designers decided to use specialty burlap linens for color while mixing in the vibrancy of tinted Jupiter glasses. We had to set up quickly and pack up quickly so the street could reopen, but we were excited by what we managed to achieve. ArtPace Gala 2018 was a resounding success.”
Nov. 22 | Peerless Events and Tents Dallas Parking Lot | Dallas, Tx.
The Event
We partnered with Mount Carmel Missionary Church in Dallas to package 775 meals on Thanksgiving Day after spending several days before prepping and cooking the food. The DFW NACE chapter really delivered with financial donations and, of course, turkeys.

What Our Staff Say
“We used our refrigerators to store food, our stoves and ovens to cook, tables for preparation/storage, food warmers to keep food warm before packaging, a tent to cover our “kitchen” and prep space, tent heaters so we wouldn’t freeze to death, warehouse kitchen space to wash pots/pans, and generators and propane tanks to power the outdoor kitchen.
We were honored to have the opportunity to serve NACE and our Dallas community in such a big way around the holidays. We wouldn’t have been able to survive the week without the help of Martha, and Marcelo from the warehouse.”
Thanks to our partners in 2018, and we’re excited to see what events the new year will bring. Will one be yours?
